Gender: The Languages System and Ideology
Keywords:
anthropocentricity of gender, language category, naming and ordering functions, social aspect of genderAbstract
The focus of this article is on analyzing the ordering principle of language–that is, its grammatical aspect within which the category of gender plays an important role. It fulfills this role in textual materializations of its lexical value. I examine the critical connection to a current view that deconstructing a verbal expression is a path towards social equality for women.
