Language and transgender identities

The article analyzes the role of language in the construction of transgender identities in discursive interaction, in accordance with the understanding of identity as a dialogic construction. Particular attention is given to alternative language practices introduced by non-binary transgender people to construct their identities outside the normative binary gender system.
