The Role of Gender and the Womenʼs Issue in (Slovenian) Street Poetry

Statistical data reveal that more men than women are engaged in street poetry. In spite of that the role of women in street poetry is not negligible. Neca Falk can be connected with some of the first attempts of usage spoken language in Slovenian music. Although the interest of women for street poetry has declined after that, the movement has awaked in the second half of the 90s. This article will present the roles of men and women inside (Slovenian) street poetry.
