Z-poetry as One of the Latest Transformations of Russian Poetry?

Abstract

The article examines the phenomenon of so-called Z-poetry in the context of the special role of poetry. If the primary function of poetry is to seek a new language for understanding the most complex phenomena, then in relation to war, its true transformative potential lies in its ability to convey the complexity and fundamental incomprehensibility of the phenomenon itself, rather than in the repetition of poetic clichés and pre-existing models of war poetry. In this regard, Z-poetry does not emerge as a manifestation of genuine poetic culture but rather as a form of poetic mimicry, exploiting the cultural prestige of poetry for ideological purposes.
