Poet, prose-writer, playwright, and essay writer Momčilo Nastasijević (1894-1938) is one of the most original Serbian authors between the World Wars. His opus is very diverse in its genres and while it is directly related to his poetics, it is often also in conflict with it. In his philosophical essays he is in search of his own artistic path and at the same time he attempts to answer the key metaphysical questions. The article attemps to show Nastasijevič as an original poet metaphysicist, regardless of his view on language and literature laid out in his essays.Downloads
