From Theme to Language

Abstract

In interpreting the language of a literary text the question of hermenutics needs to be revisted, i.e., the question of understanding of its semantic and meaning. The article proceeds from the standpoint that the text includes constructive semantic elements and their discovery sheds light on communicative intention and menaing of the text. The second purpose of this article is to present the conception of Slovak representatives of the theory of literary communication.
