Abstract

The paper attempt to uncover the fundamental structural elements of Prešeren's personal and poetic architecture. Basing its analysis upon the findings of modern stylistics and taking into consideration the relevance of oxymoronic constructions in Prešeren's poetry, it places Prešeren's work and personality in the realm of European romanticism.
