The novel Pastorala (1995) by Vlado Žabot is about the opposition between personal freedom and ethical norm determined by the ideological community binding the individual. The main character Nina experiences the Christian principle of love by duty or required love as hypocrisyand religious belives as idolatry. There fore, she rebels against both and in a quite dramatic story unsuccessfully attempts to and a true neighbor.Downloads
