The author analyzes a syntactic detail of archaic or dialectal Slovene supine, i.e., the case of its direct object. The direct object of the supine used to be in the genetive, while the direct object of the infinitive has always been in the accusative. The treatment of pecularity is based on the theory of natural syntax as developed in Slovenia. In particular, the discussion rests on the criteria that determine the naturalness scales and on the rules of alignment of coresponding values of naturalness scales.Downloads
