The comparative analysis of the selected translations of Biblical texts has shown that Primož Trubar translated the New Teatament from Erasmus' Latin translation, which he combined with Luther's translation. Jurij Dalmatin translated the New Testament from Luther, but based it on Trubar's texts. Trubar translated Psalms from the annotated Latin edition of Psaltery by Wolfgang Musculus and Rudolph Walther's (Gwalther's) translation of Psalter into German. Dalmatin relied on Trubar in translating Psalter, his main source was Luther, but he used other sources as well. Krelj used Greek and other sources in translating the Postil (KPo 1567). Jurij Juričič in the first part of his Postil (JPo 1578) adapted Krelj's text in Lutherʹs text, while he translated the second ad third parts of Postil from Luther, but clearly also relied on Trubar's translation.Downloads
