Camusova estetika absurda

Camusʹs aesthetic principles in the so-called phase of the absurd have two aspects: the realism of the phenomena and appearances, and the aesthetics of the absurd in the true sense of the world. The former aspect, not to be developed by Camus in his later work, anticipates the aesthetic views of the writer A. Robbe-Grillet. The latter, however, represents a special, Camusʹs, variant of the existentialist conception of the artistic creation and of a work of art. The presentation relies mostly on Camusʹ essays, criticism, letters, and notes from the period 1937-1943, partly also on the novel The Outsider, and at the same time takes a critical stand against what has so far been established in connection with this topic.Downloads
