Abstract

Taking into account the previous analyses, among which Franc Zadravec's studies occupy a particularly prominent place, the article analyzes the differences between the first (1932) and second (1957) editions of Bogomir Magajna's novel Gornje mesto. It is also illuminates the structure of the novel and the author's poetics. The second edition, whether intentionaly or not, moved the basis message from the area of a generational into the sphere of an individualistic (auto)biographical novel.
