Impersonal Use of the Form ono in the Language of the Slovene 16th-Century Protestant Writers

In the works of the Slovene 16th-century Proteatant writers, the form ono 'it' is under German influence used impersonally. Based on German normative sources, the article presents its functions, analyzes its frequencey and types of texts in which it appears. Comparing sample texts with the translation sources, the author outlines Sovene translation possibilities for the German es and their employment by each author.Downloads
