The Influence of Language of Diplomacy on the Literary Standard

Abstract

The article deals with the issues that arise in translating the terminology of diplomacy - due to historical, cultural, social, or other circumstances. The main finding of the study is that the Slovene diplomatic language is (still) developing and should therefore be standardized by experts as soon as possible to avoid poor (or even wrong) translations of this terminology.
