The Lexical Stratifi cation in the Dialects of Tromeja: Slavic, Romance, and Germanic Elements

The article presents the lexical findings of the field research, carried out bz the author in August 1977 in the territory of Tromeja in four research points, which were chosen with the purpose to homogenously cover the entire territory (Log po Mangartom in the Soča valley, 2. Rateče in the Sava vallley, Zahomec in the Zilja valley, 4. Ukve in the Kanal valley). The study,focused on the etymological analysis of the lexicon concerning the house and household items, attempts to illuminate the phenomenon of the Slavic-Romance-Germanic interference in this area.Downloads
