Abstract

The article discusses Trubar's lexical inventory in Pleteršnik's Slovene-German dictionary (Slovensko-nemški slovar) from late 19th century, with respect to the previous inventories of Trubar's lexicon (Levec's and Oblak's) and to the continuity in the contemporary Standard Slovene. It examines the types of this lexicon, lexical changes on the formal (phonological, morphological, derivational) and semantic planes and defines the lexicographic role of Trubar's lexicon in the dictionary entry in our only historical source by several authors.
