The German linguist Hieronymus Megiser should be remembered in the year of Primož Trubar for several reasons. Among his works, published at the end of the 16th and at the beginnig of the 17th-centuries, his dictionaries and Annales Carinthiae are most significant, but this paper focuses on his two volumes of proverbs and Lord's Prayer in various languages, Slovene being among them. Both volumes have been known, but they deserve greater attention.Downloads
