The article deals with the equivalence relation between comparative phraseological units in three neighbouring languages: Slovene, German, and Hungarian. At the center of the research is the contrastive analysis of comparative phraseological units that mirror human mental qualities. We operate under the assumption that the percentage of equivalent comparative PUs in neighbouring languages will be relatively high given the mutual cultural heritage and equal/similar extralinguistic experiencesDownloads
