The article examines some effects of contemporary Slovenian drama, based on the analysis of a special impact of dramatic perfomances on a neurobiological level. First, we distinguish the term "embodied knowledge" from the term reflexive knowledge. Furthermore, we link the analysis of neurobiological mechanisms, enabling the working of embodied knowledge, to Damasio's understanding of feelings and emotions and their evolutionary bonds with rules of social behaviour. We finaly summarize the effects of the embodied knowledge in modern drama on its recipients. At last, the theoretical analysis is comlemented by a case study of the text 24hours by Simona Semenič.Downloads
