Free Verse in Slavic Nations (On the Occasion of the Warsaw Conference on FreeVerse)

The beginning of the Slavic free verse date back to the fin the siècle (isolated cases can be found as early as in Romanticism), but continuity in its production began in 1920's and 1930's (with a hiatus during and immediately after World War II). The conceptions of free verse are national, even if the concept itself is international. They are rooted in individual national traditions, since particularly at its inception free verse is linked to the system from which it frees itself.Downloads
