The author first briefly outlines the biographic, cultural-historical, and cultural-political background of Pugelj's literary production and surveys the literary research of the topic of war. Then she discusses ten texts by Milan Pugelj that fall into the category of war prose, as they derive their material from the war or place their action into the period od WW1, although the majority portrays the life between the wars and suffering of the civilian population behind the front lines. In the forefront of her analysis are particularly modifications of the topic of war in the texts and their genre specific.Downloads
