Ciril Kosmač began publishing in the magazins Nas rod 1931/32 and Istra. After that he published two (for him) characteristic stories, Študenta Petra povest o materi [Student Peter's mother story] and Potepuh Najdù [Student Najdù], in the young-adult magazine Val. He also published in Ljubljanski zvon, Jadranski kalendar (Zagreb), and Sodobnost. He gained prominence with the stories Sreča [Happiness] and Kruh [Bread], in which he shaped his short-prose model.Downloads
